Lost my Sport and Manual shift lights. ?
SOLVED.
Setting accessed via Nanocom in the Valeo BCU was not holding after selecting and writing settings.
Transmission was set to manual although I had selected and set to auto too many times to count.
Had to write settings 3 or 4 times before it accepted and stayed set to auto after a restart.
Boom. Manual and sport mode function again and gear indicator on dash functions.
Knew it would be simple.
So I usually drive around in sport mode since going to 33" tires. Sport and manual mode light had always functioned as it should on the dash.
Today after using the nanocom to look at Abs issues I no longer have a sport mode light illuminating.
Hopefully just coincidence.
Checked every fuse I can find. Pretty dang sure I didn't change any settings in the vehicle.
Anyone ever dealt with the M&S lights just disapearing?
Cant tell if the shifts rpm in sport are still affected and worried to get stuck in manual if i try.
Daily driver at the moment.
But at least my extended brake lines showed up today.

Switch on the transfer case could be dead, that was happened to me, effects ECM/Transmission mappings differences between Hi & Low. You still have low and high but you are running less than optimal settings
Every fuse in the vehicle is good.
Been follwing the rave circuit diagrams as best as I could follow, thought about printing the whole damn rave but ugh..
Been throwing about a hour a day at this, transfer case switch is operating tested from ecu harness pin when shifted in and out of low/Hi.
The M&S button itself functions.
Shifted to low range and am also unable to select manual mode as well.
Been through all the settings in the Nanocom with the guide detailing what every setting does. Seems everything's in order.
I have a shuttle valve failure code and right rear abs failure pop up yesterday, Dont think they would cause the M&S issue though.
Just banging my head against a wall tracing this out.
Next effort is swapping the fusebox today..
I have never been able to connect the Nanocom to the Eats ecu i think is . Possibly the issue or maybe never could anyhow?
Still drives nice though, These Discos feel so solid compared to our new model cars

Replaced the IDM/fuse box under the dash with one i took apart and had soaked in corrosion x just incase, no change still no functioning M&S.
Was a shot in the dark but i had the part on-hand.
Replaced the wabco 2001 dated slabs 070 code with a 2003 150 code unit.
Didnt solve any issues but should be a better slabs for the abs issues and diff lock from what ive read.
Time to keep digging on the M&S issue.
Edit- now lost gear selected indicator on the dash.
Xyz switch shows as functioning in all gears through the nanocom but i suppose its time to swap that with the refurbed spare as well.

So far I have Swapped in a xyz I refurbished, a new fuse box/IDM and slabs unit.
Nanocom now communicates with eats ecu as it should, proobably operator error.
Still no gear indicator light showing gear selected on the dash. And not able to select sport or manual mode.
Red light next to the shifter lever follows the gears correctly.
Transfer case switch working as it should time to start checking all grounds and wires through the harness for breaks I suppose.
Seems everything online referencing this issue is a failed hi low switch and mines working well.
This is the first issue thats been this big of a hunt..
Posting to keep my sanity, and maybe to spark a memory of somebody's.

It shows alot of gear position info and switches for hi low etc. All are functioning per the nano. Ive metered from harness as well.
Maybe the switch has a resistance issue or something.
Gonna be a simple fix i can feel it.. Once i find it..
