One more update! Disco ran goods for two weeks then running hot again. I have an appointment to get the head gaskets replaced and the heads checked my a machine shop. Is there anything else that I should specify to the repair shop? They are also replacing the valve cover gaskets.

How ironic that you asked today! I just got it back. $2260 later.

Performed

Full gasket replacement
Head, exhaust manifold, valve cover, and others.
New expansion tank
Oil change and filter
Cruise control vacuum line
Complete cooling system flush
Every nut and bolt removed was replaced with new.

I think that's it. I will look at invoice when I get home.

Now a question for all. I understand why engine compartment stays so hot. The aluminum displaces the heat. Has anyone thought of some sort of louvers?

Also, I am getting a lot of random stupid warning lights. I thing that it could be the speed sensor. Has anyone had any experience with the lights that I have listed earlier or the speed sensor?
