It absolutely could be. That's where I'm going with the sound ID.....you'll know more when you narrow down the area.

So I reach back behind the manifold and a spark plug wire was so lose it literally fell off when I wiggled it......it was sparking against the firewall the whole time but yet it must have been just barely hanging on to the pack to fire the cylinder....lol

Looking at the rave manual now to see how to get back there. I cannot see where the wire goes etc. Gonna check all the wires while I am at it once I figure it out.

Man I am relieved...the Rover Gods have blessed me today,,,,I did not want to take that engine apart. At least not yet.

What a crazy stressful day....

Default its where you are filming

Hey bro, Its where you first zoom in the camera..It's that purge or intake valve clicking..Mine did the same and drove me insane....I also have a diesel tick that drove me more insane....then it blew up and i felt relieved i didnt have to worry anymore about these stupid noises....I cant remember if it was the purge or the one next to it... put your hand on it and you will feel it...

Stay sane, Chris

It was a spark plug wire Chris that had come so close to being unplugged from the coil but was still enough to ignite the cylinder and was tapping (sparking) the metal.

Crazy stuff.

I kept telling myself while driving home today, it sounded too fast to be the lifters by nature, but from the outside the sound was so echo and bouncing off everything it was hard to troubleshoot....lol

That second video you can hear it. From the inside it sounded like something pinging the firewall...

These trucks...oh and plugging these wires back onto the coil without removing the manifold is a freaking art form....esp when the manifold takes a millenium to cool down....haha

Mike also called and he was very nice.

I am going to order some 8mm wires as he suggested. He also reminded me to do the front drive shaft, which I have all the parts for, just have been slack about doing it being I only drive the truck 3-4 days a week. I need to do it soon though.
