Loud rear end clunk.
Hey guys anyone know about this, when I am going over large bumps and the rear come down it makes a loud almost metal sounding clunk and I've had shocks and springs replaced, is my problem old bearings? Because they have never been replaced and if so what ones would I get for a comfy ride at 80mph but good on the off-roads?

We diagnosed this issue on a D1 this year on the trail. Owner had recently swapped in the shocks, too. I guess they didn't get installed correctly. But, we found it by bouncing that back end up and down. Easy to see when following the sound.
You can get one of these moving pretty good by bouncing on it.

I had a very loud bang, when driving , jacked it checked every bush I could find with a pry bar, all solid, took it to my local garage , on the ramps nothing found, only thing they could say was maybe a worn shock absorber, so came home jacked it up removed the shock, but to put it back I had to drop the axle down, as I could no compress the shock and fit it, that's when I found the problem
the Ball end socket on the drop link came apart, as the axle moved it just went back in as it was so stiff it did not move so a constant bang and as the vehicle is so heavy no amount of shaking on the ramp moved it enough to see
