Loud rear end clunk.
I’ve even seen a buddy strap a GoPro camera underside.
At the end of the day the clunk isn’t going away- so you’ve got to be creative on how to recreate the sound.
If that’s all a good shop will spend time to do; your paying for someone to make that noise or you can do it.
there’s only so many things that can clunk under there. You can do it!

Interesting thread guys! I'm having a similar issue.
Did you resolve this or find the new source?
What was incorrect about the installation of the shock?
Was it a better option than just replacing the watts linkage itself?
Did your vehicle have ACE? Or which drop link do you mean?
