Default LR3 vs Discovery

i have a 01 dis. and i love it. i use for hunting in OK. offroad etc. and for a family member to run my kids aronund town as a third car. I am thinking about going to the 04 dis. for a newer car and bigger engine. OR LR3 05 edition

can a LR3 hold up to the discovery 04 or 01 off road?

If you like your Disco, Stay with it. I have heard the LR3 can't keep up offroad. You can get a lot of extra crap for it, but with an 04 you get your truck, newer, with a 4.6 and diff lock. Trust me, you will love it.

I have to start with I more than like my Disco,,,,
but I saw a LR3 yesterday that I almost wrote a check for.

It was set up to off road it must have had 3.8" tires on it,
lights, the suspension was set up for at least off road
racing it was very nice.

I think I'm going to go back to get it to day.
I will keepmy Disco
I think I know someone that wants a nice LR3
radio control truck.

On the real side I think a LR3 can be made in to a good
off road truck but it will cost alot more than a Disco.

Just drive em both, You need to make a choice that works for you. do a vehicle history check on both ,and be sure all recalls were compleated . I think you'll like the LR3 much better and It is as good as any Land Rover Off Road, note that not all of them have the auto locking diffs (LR3) and if you do alot off road you should look for one with that option.
