Default LS swap

I know ACE (Alternative Conversions) is the most predominant for the LS swap kit. But they have a 10 week wait right now and I'd rather not wait that long as I am borrowing a car since the damned disco blew up. Is there any other companies that make and sell what ACE does? Even if they were a little more expensive. I can't seem to find everything separately that they sell. Links would be very helpful! Or if I could do any other engine swap for under 10k USD I would be open to that. My shop told me any swap would be $1750 so any suggestions would be great.
Thanks, Dalton

Pretty sure there's a whole subforum on engine swaps, including discussions about several options for LS engines.

About 90-95% of the ACE swap kit is custom made parts. The ACE parts aren’t available elsewhere. It would be difficult and time consuming to piece together and fabricate your own kit from different stuff (a lot longer than 10 weeks). I would not attempt this unless you know how to fabricate and spend the time to work out the electrical.

There are other options for transmissions, but it will take significantly more fabrication and work to make those fit. And the price will go up substantially.

Since it sounds like you are limited on time, I would probably recommend either waiting for the kit, or putting in a used Land Rover 4.0 to hold you over until you have time to do the swap. Furthermore, I would be wary of a shop putting a flat rate of less than $2000 on any non-factory engine swap. An engine swap done right, even with a kit, is a significant time investment.

You can buy motor mounts and use a gm trans and there is an adapter to the LT230. This is going to involve a lot more time as it's not as simple to get the electronics to play nice for full dash functionality. I can tell you that the shop near me that does incredible work you aren't getting an LS swap done for under 15K in labor and thats in classics and D1s which is much simpler to do. Aaron has the right idea, even with the ACE kit it's not going to be a week or two week endeavor.
