Lug bolt size: 27mm or 1 1/16"?
Does anyone have a definitive answer as to the size of the D2 lugs?
I want to give my son a breaker bar with a socket for future emergencies, and have tried both sizes and seen each listed as the lug nut "size". I couldn't find anywhere in the RAVE where lug nut size is mentioned.
The 27mm goes on comfortably on my son's D2 lug nuts, while the 1 1/16" is tight but with a little persistence still goes on.
The lugs have seen their share of abuse I am guessing from impact wrenches, etc. and it feels like we are re-squaring them a bit every time we work a 1 1/16" socket on.
Thanks.

So true and then some of them booger them up so damn bad u need 3 sizes just to get all of them off
One of the generic 4-way "truck size" spinners will work, even though the largest socket on those is 1 1/16". What makes this really useful is that if the stainless cap gets damaged and comes off, the nut underneath is 1" and the 4-way also has that size on it so you're not completely stuck.
Decisions, decisions.
27mm looks like the "official" winner. Good anyway as I have 2-3 27mm sockets but only one 1 1/16" lying around
Anyone know why they put these caps on the lugs in the first place. Please don't say it was purely cosmetic.
