Default Lug Nuts

Im goin crazy tryin to get these damn lug nuts off. There are obviously caps on them. It mustve been a site for drivers to see an 18 year old kid standin on the tire iron tryin to change a flat. Whats the trick with these?

The best thing to do is get a 1/2 in breaker bar 24"
and socket. Never let tire shops use a impact to
toque the lugs.

If Pep Boys used the wrong socket on your lug nuts and they screwed them up, call your local Rover shop to get an estimate to remove and install new ones, then let Pep Boys cut you a check, they will, you may need to call their corprate number to handle it but they will.
I had this happen to me and so have a few of my fiends, we all got them paid for.
When done, go buy a socket and have them use it only, tightening only with a torque wrench as they should with all alloys.
You didn't mention if you drive a D1 o DII, the socket for the DII is a six point 1 1/16", I am not sure for a D1.
