Default Made a big mistake in installing heads

I'm an idiot. Let's just get that out of the way right now.

I'm doing a head gasket job on my 04 D2, my first time doing anything like this. I finally got to where I was ready to install the heads and I--very stupidly--installed the passenger head on the driver side so that I'm missing the locating stud that's supposed to be there.
My google-fu has failed me and I can't seem to find any info on whether I can simply remove the stud off the other head and install it where I need it?

I appreciate any help...and I'm ready to get roasted as needed.

Yep, you can swap them around no issue.

Use two nuts. Put on on about half way down. Put the next one tight to the first one. Two wrenches so you tighten them together real tight. Then put wrench on the first one you put on and loosen it.

I’m having a heck of a time trying to get the stud out of the other head.
Assuming I can’t get it out—though I’ll keep trying—I’m trying to find that part to but another and I’m having no luck. Anyone have a source or a part number or anything?

Try a good quality set of vice grips or channel locks on the non-threaded part of the stud.

Otherwise you may just look at getting a piece of metric all thread and cutting one the correct length.

I thought about that but there’s a shoulder on that stud and I’m assuming it’s necessary to have that.
