Don't consider it when you have already been told it will fail and the Dealers are getting up to $240 for a new MAF.
What is to consider other then when to return the cleaner for credit?

I'll chime in as well. It will fail, and may just make things worse. Eventually my v8 had the power of an anemic 4-cylinder. I tried everything but the correct action, which is to just replace the darn thing. When I did, the difference was night and day.

You can be our test subject.
Clean it and let us know how well it works out.
oooohh!!! Pick me!!! I'll be the test subject!!! I used the CRC cleaner he is talking about. Followed the directions. Sprayed it down... lot of crap came off of it, let it dry then put it back on. 2 days later, no problems, no CEL. So far, so good. It says to use it at each airfilter change which I've done so I'll see what happens. Besides, the truck has been running well lately and we all know that's not right... a Disco without problems should be sold!!

Well Joe doesnt have any MAF problems, he was just thinking of prevenative maintence.
And DI MAF will take to cleaning. I cleaned mine with carb cleaner when I first bought my truck.

Didn't know he had a D2. Didn't know there was that much of a difference. But after reading thru all these posts, it seems the D2 is "sensitive." It's bad enough dealing within a sensitive woman... I don't need that from my Rover as well....... ok then, sloppyjoe can be the test subject!!!

Wait wait wait... On a DI you CAN clean the MAF? Did I read that correctly?
