Default Maf sensor options here

Just wanted to post this for others and for me as a future refremce.. If you want to just replace the maf sensor it's self you may save a few bucks just buying the bosh part

bosch f 00c 2g2 029

But here's what I did..

Bought this MAF for 40.00

Sensor Meter MAF # 0280217532 ERR7171 http://amzn.com/B0087XA8HW

Recieved it all looked well but barrel diameter was smaller than. Original. So I removed the maf part and swapped it into factory housing ^ waste my time and money to send me wrong part!? I don't think so..

I'll let you guys know how long it works. But all codes are Definatly gone.

Do you have an 03 or 04? That part number, ERR7171, is for 99-02.

Yes there is a difference. So what you did was take the bad guts out of your original housing and swap them with the new guts, and then return it with the old guts put back in new housing?

Put an OBDII scanner on it and make sure the fuel trims look good and the O2 sensors are cycling properly..

NO codes and you are probably good to go.

Excellent find you have posted.
Incredible actually.
