Default Magnaflow exhaust kits - worth it or not?

Are these kits any good for D2s? They advertise increased hp and torque. Thought it may be nice on a Cannibalized V8 motor with a cam. Just curious if there is positive or negative feedback from you all.

thanks

David

If they do have an increase, it is extremely minimal. You'll gain the most with a larger Y pipe if at all.

+5 hp...not worth the money (>$100/hp!) unless you need to replace your exhaust anyway...then maybe it's worth the cost. It has a sweet sound though!

I replaced the Ypipe with the Magnaflow. I was very satisfied with it. Lost the prop shaft and the pipe took a beating but held up very well. I will be replacing the catback with Magnaflow when it is time.

Ditch the SAI, throw on some longtubes, hiflow cats and run rear wide open with some o2 sims... MAYBE youll see some decent horsepower, you might be able to pass an 18 wheeler on an uphill finally

If you do install a Magnaflow catback make sure you get the magnaflow muffler resonator put on as well, or you can forget about having a conversation with the person next to you.

The drone at 50 mph and 1700 rpm will drive you crazy! The drone at 70 mph will make you certifiable.

I maybe just my imagination but I do have a bit more pick up now then I did with the old factory exhaust and it sounds SWEET!

I just put a Borla system on mine. Personally I love the sound, and regardless of which system you install, you're going to have some drone regardless.

That said, I love the sound!
