Magnaflow y-pipe installed!!!!!

Was surprised that changing just the y-pipe actually deepened the exhaust note.

Question. The clamp that secures the two magnaflow pieces, does it go right at the exposed seam of the two pieces or further back? I can hear a small amount of noise at the connection.

 

Not exactly sure what clamp you're talking about. Could you throw a picture of it up?

 

I think he is talking about the band clamp on the passenger side. Performance Peddler

First check that the pipe is seated in that lap/slip joint. If there is a small gap at the 2 relief cuts it will leak. I had this happen with one of these Cats and I had to get a wider Lap Clamp to fully cover the gap.

 

No gap in the relief cuts. I am guessing if i have a small leak it would be very apparent.

I think I am good to go.
