Default Major Disco NOOB questions...

How do you engage the CDL? I don't see a switch or?

Are there metric and "inch" fasteners on this pig? Any place they separate (engine/body)?

How do I get the rear "fifth" door to not lock every time I close it?

Can the rear bumper rubber grip cover be removed without destroying it? I want to get the bumper powder coated but not if I will have to buy a new rubber cover.

Thanks,
Dave K.

HI/LO = forward/back
CDL = right/left --- Don't drive in cdl where you have good traction (it's in the rave, you did have a decal in front of your xfer case shifter)

I think they have mostly metric, possibly some english Whitworth.

Is the solenoid "loose action"? on mine, I screwed a piece of neoprene hose behind the linkage to create resistance, so it stays up. panel covers it.

Aren't there screws or rivets holding the rubber cover on (they match the ****)

luck,greg

I recently repainted my rear bumper and yes you can remove the rear bumper step plate. It is held on with some plastic rivets. I couldn't save any of mine (and didn't care to since they are plastic and I hate plastic fasteners except when absolutely necessary) so what I did was went to Home Depot and found some pan head screws that were close to the same size as the "****" on the plate, put them on the removed plate (with washer and nuts for reinstallation), and painted the plate and screw heads black to match the soon to be freshly painted bumper. If you do this just remember to reinstall them while the bumper is off as you can not reach the inside while it is mounted due to the hitch. Mine looks great and unless you look for the pan head screws you can't even see them. Just my two cents. Good luck!

Thanks! Now I know I am pulling the bumper for powder coat without having to pull it just for investigative purposes. Cheers!
