I just bought an 03 SE7 that was clean in Chawton white for $5600 buck w/ 102k miles. Never off roaded, soccor mom and maintained. If I could do it again, i'd get the 04 Disco so I don't have to hassle with getting a CDL linkage and transfer case. (save about 500-600 bucks if you plan to do any off roading).

These are all great prospects!. Thank you DROWSSAP.
Good info to know Trailrun, i'll keep a look out, Love the white. but if I could grab something in the $5000 range that runs i'll be happy, I take care of my vehicles and I know these need lots of TLC but I just love the way they look.

Forgot to add, I got mine in Woodbury, CT. I'd also recommend talking to Paul Grant here on the forum, great and knowledgeable guy, he gets quite a few Rovers and is located in Southern, CT. I utilized autotempest.com to find mine, you can do a radius search from where you live and it'll search all the car listing sites at once (ebay, craigslist, autotraders, cars, cardirect, etc)

Good Luck,
Chris
P.S. Muddy Chef Challange is at the end of the month in the NW corner of CT if you get one by then

You'll have no problem with a 5k budget, I think I overpaid, soley b/c I wanted white. Just know there are some people that overprice them b/c they are "land rovers' but for 5k you can get a clean one with around 100k miles that has been maintained.

I've never hear of that site. i'll add it to my searches..
Thanks again for the great assistance guys.
Is it safe to assume that once an 03 gets past a certain mileage that the oil pump dowl issue isn't a problem anymore.. meaning, if it hasn't failed that it most likely won't?

Correct, mine falls in that catagory as well, no issues on my end. I think if there was an issue it would happen early on. There is a thread on it, but again, if you can, go for the 2004. The CDL makes a huge difference: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...-2003-a-40706/

Are there any specific concerns with the 2000 - 2002 Disco's?
