Default Mass Air Flow Meter on a 2000 Disco II

I have a check engine light on so I ran the code and got this:

P0102 OBD-II Trouble Code

Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit Low Input

Can this mean anything other that what it implies, that my Mass Air Flow Meter is bad? Anything to do other than replace? Thanks for your help. -Pete

Pete,
Check your air box carefully. The Factory and/or Techs regularly bend the alignment tabs over creating a air flow disturbance which can cause issues.

You can clean the mass air flow sensor, Take it out and spray it out with electrical cleaner, (not choke cleaner) there are 2 wires which may be blackened and once clean they may work again. Hope it helps
