May have to sell Disco II, any ideas on price?
I may have to sell my 2002 Disco II. It's an SE 7 and is a Westminster edition. It has 96k miles and fairly new tires. No body damage. Pretty well everything is stock on it. Any ideas on what it would sell for? KBB Private Party is 8700 in excellent, 8100 in good. I've never seen them sell that high around here. I'm in Indiana.
Nothing wrong with it, but just had a baby.

congratulations on the baby. Why don't you just keep the rover and sell your other vehicle? Personally I would prefer my baby was in the back of a 5,000lb rover for safety. I think the rover market has improved some since last year and the crazy gas prices but i doubt you will get anywhere close to 8,100 due to the poor economy. People are looking for steals now days not deals.
I know I bought mine 5 years ago with 55,000 miles on it in great condition in NYC for $10,000. I have a similar vehicle and I figure it's worth $5,000 give or take. Remember they were on the CARS list, not too many people in the market for premium guzzling, low mpg, expensive fixin', sloppy driving truck. The disco is a great baby carrier/grocery getter.

Thanks. Other vehicle is an F250. We need to keep it to pull trailers and equipment for our farm. That's what I was thinking about the price. We may keep it, but if I decide to stay at home, it has to go.
Many people are selling lower mileage 03's, usually in the $8000 range. I would suggest you see what other people in your state or city are listing them for on Craig's list, E-bay and the newspaper.
I hear you kids are not cheap. Where you going to put a kid in an F250 though? Not in the front seat, that's not safe even with the air bag off. Unless you have a king cab of course. I have too much time, sweat and money invested my Disco I can never sell it. My wife has stopped bugging me about it as have my folks too.
Congrats !! on the new addition.
IMOP if your disco is paid for and you don't need to sell it.....you're better off keeping it...
paid for and durable beats not paid for & unknown ???? any day

That really blows Spike, all this time I thought I had stolen my truck. I just looked it up and TMV is WAY less than I thought it is worth. That is about $2k less than NADA. Not like I am going to unload it, the wife might after I die ( if she wants me to haunt her! ).
