I don't consider a DII a sloppy driving truck, in fact far from it. Mine handles better than any truck or SUV i've ever driven and I don't even have the ACE option.

If we get obama-care and another cash for clunkers program you being buried with your rover might happen sooner than you think

I cant wait for health care reform, I voted for the man, twice, and I support health care reform more than ever.
Cash for clunkers...well I dont like it but you have to admit that it was like a defibrillator to the economy.
It gave it the jump start it needed and without it GM would have shut their doors and then how many more people would be out of work?
GM Ford and Chrysler have re-opened closed factories, added shifts to current ones and recalled laid off employee's to restock the dealers, you cant argue with the facts.

Not arguing with you, just discussion.
Food for thought.
Guys being guys.
Rover fans being Rover fans.

you voted for him twice for president? you must be working for ACORN, lol. No doubt, cash for clunkers was the best stimulus Japan has had in years! GM re-opens one plant..sells hummer to the chinese for a huge loss and closes down saturn..obama is running that company all wrong.

You cant pay someone $25 per hour to build a car and still make money, sorry but it just cant be done.
Especially when your cars are crap.

ditto spike !!
and crap is what they have been building for years, one of the GM execs was on one of the morning shows the other day bragging about how many awards they have won for initial build quality....most of us are more concerned with the 5-10 years down the road durability!

I was a die hard GM person for he longest time, anybody can build a car that holds together for 6 months.
JD Power sent me a survey after I bought my last brand new Oldsmobile back in '95.
That car was junk, it was in the shop 6 times for the same thing while under warranty, then exactly 100 miles out of warranty the alternator went out.
At 60,000 miles overdrive went out, then the power windows stopped working.
At 115,000 miles I sold it, they drove it for 6 months and then parked it, dont know why but it sat in their driveway for 4 years and never moved.
Bought a brand new Mitsubishi Montero XLS in 2001.
5 years and 100,000 miles and it was in the shop once, that was for a timing belt and tune up at 60k that I did myself.
And I off roaded that truck alot and I drove it like I stole it.
I will never ever buy another American car.

Sorry we hijacked the thread. lol

$25 per hour? It's more like $78 per hour when you add in all benefits and legacy cost. I agree, a car company can't make a profit paying their workers that much. We can all thank the greedy UAW for driving the US auto industry into the ground.

spike, I'm not sure about your state laws but here if you bring a new vehicle back 3 times for the same problem and they can't repair it they have to buy it back under the lemon law.

Yes the Lemon Law applies here as well, it was for a faulty tape deck so I was not worried about it.
