Its been 10 days since I have been trying to contact Mean-Green for an alternator and starter. juat for kicks lets just see how long it is going to take until I can get a hold of someone there.

 

You could have had yours rebuilt by a electrical shop and back in the truck 2 days ago.
Remember, you dont know these Mean Green guys any better than a local guy at a small shop.
Takes yours in, tell him what you want and 3 days later its back in the truck as good as new...and bigger amps.

 

Mean Green are notorious for being hard to get ahold of. Keep that in mine when it comes to one of their units failing.

I would love to take it somewhere local havent been able to find a place that does it near my house or even an hour away.

 

Call some truck repair shops and ask who rebuilds their alternators.

 

Found A shop that will rebuild my alternator to a 175amps for $180.00 and will only take 4 hours what you guys think. as for the starter the one from British Starter is perfect.

 

Do it man.
You cant buy a rebuilt alternator at AutoZone for under $280, and theirs are junk.

 

i got the started in my D1 at oreilley auto parts with a lifetime warranty for less than 180... the first one i got was defective, took it back and got a new one at no cost...
