Autoworks Unlimited in Huntersville has had a great reputation for DIIs for over 10 years. They probably don't see many anymore, but Dale Gregory and his staff know what they're doing and they aren't crooks. (I've never had the need to use them, but a friend had them replace his front cover gasket a few years ago.)

There's a place on Monroe Rd. in Charlotte that seems to have a few Rovers parked outside all the time. I don't know anything more about them, but someone on this forum recommended them a year ago or so. The Google Street View image shows two Classics, a Defender and a newer Range Rover parked there. The name is Import Clinic (704-333-4424) and the address is 3917 Monroe Rd. (They're in the same building as another shop named Gino's.)

Performance Rovers in Stallings is great, but they made a business decision a couple years ago to work on newer Rovers only, and any age Defenders.

I used Autoworks Unlimited in Huntersville. Great guys, honest work and good rates.

Import Clinic--seems to be a nice place that is very Rover friendly. They may advise you to buy parts online and come there for the install. I did not use them.

Import and Vintage (Volvo, Saab and Land Rover Service in Charleston/Mt. Pleasant, SC) is in Mount Pleasant; not so close. Used them with great success and would highly recommend.
