Reputable Shop/Mechanic in Austin, TX?
Hello all --
Looking for recommendations/suggestions for a reputable shop or mechanic in the Austin, TX area. We've tried a couple places other than the local LR dealer and have had mixed results. I can do some basic wrenching, but don't have the skill/time/tools for more advanced problems (head gasket, tranmission, 3 amigos, that type of stuff).
Does anyone have suggestions for a honest, reliable place to go where I don't have to second-guess everything they're doing (and wonder how much I'm getting ripped off?)
We've looked several times into trading-in our beloved '03 Discovery on something new, but just can't find anything out there that we like better!
Thanks!

Might want to ask around the Austin Forum below....they are probably more knowledgeable than some Spike dude in Michigan..

Cowtown Rover here in Fort Worth will take care of you too if you don't mind driving a couple hours. They have done lots of work for me (including heads) and I highly recommend them. Good luck.
