Default Middle of the night horn goes off, won't stop??

So last night we hear this loud horn going off. It was the Land Rover and it wouldn't stop until I pulled the fuse under the hood. What caused this and what to do?

If it was a steady blowing of the horn, it sounds like a short that's completing the circuit.
If it's the beep beep, sounds like your alarm.

Mine did that it ended up being a broken horn switch.

I had that same problem. I pulled the clip off and pulled the contact out. I do have the replacement wiring harness which is $118 from LR.... but am waiting to attempt that repair... for some reason the air bag exploding in my face is a scary thought.

When I had to replace my clock spring I was very nervous about removing the airbag as well but as long as you unplug the yellow harness under the dash first (tucked down in a bit) you should be fine, I actually removed the airbag when I first started having problems with the clock spring cause I was afraid it would short out and blow out while I was driving, drove without it for about a week till my new spring came in then all was good. Luckily I still have my face in tact!

There is a safety device that will not let the air bag go off with a bad clock spring, it must get its signal from the sensor behind the bumper.
Unless you short it out it wont go off.
The air bag warning light has been on in my work van for 6 months, no air bag and thats ok with me.
No ABS either, stops better without it.

Mike-It's your horn button shorting out, it is common on DII's for this to happen.
Did it the other night when it got cold didnt it?
The contacts are shrinking with the cold thus thinking that you are holding the horn button down.
New horn buttons are needed unless you can manage to move the contacts farther apart.
