Default Might be the End

Ok so, theres a squeaking coming from my car that had been going on for a bit, but I had finally decided to diagnose it. While looking around, I found that the issue was the only pulley I hadnt replaced. However thats not whats ending my run with this car. I love it to death, and would fix everything with it if I could. During my investigation, I was looking in the coolant resoviour and saw a bunch of junk, which helped me to realize that my head gaskets had gone out. Now this isnt a hard issue to fix on its own, and is definitley not enough to make me give up. However right after that, I realized that my engine was also knocking around cylinder 5 and 3, which checks out because cylinder 5 had a misfire code which I thought I had fixed, as theres no more codes being thrown. You can clearly hear the knocking under the car through the oil pan, and you can hear the clanking through the exhaust as well. Now im thinking this cant get any worse, at least I can still save it. However while I was under the car for the second time, i noticed that my transfer case was whining AND my transmission had some banging noises. It was already taking me all I could to fix the other issues, as im still a high schooler and im only making 12$ an hour making tacos, and I need a car to get me from place to place as I cant rely on anyone else. I cant afford to keep this thing up and running, even while working as much as I can. I really wish there was a way to save it, I mean who wouldnt want to save their first car? But like I stated before its just not realistic for me, so this is the end. Im gonna make it look as nice as possible and fix the squealing pulley, and im gonna sell it. It was a fun run while it lasted, I had some really enjoyable moments with it. I just hope the next owner loves it as much as me, and fixes it.

Gotta say I'm proud of the dedication you have! I started working on my D2 sophomore year of high school and worked on it till its unfortunate demise. There is always the option of parting it out and selling it, hopefully making enough to buy a new one. I know it's not going to be the same as it doesn't have the charm of a first car. Or if space/situation allows you could table it until its possible to fix it. These cars have a lot of spirit in them. People buy them for its uniqueness and once they start working on it themselves, they become attached.
