Bear with my ignorance please..



FIRST...

You specified Synthetic Power Steering Fluid...
I have yet to see any Pwr Strng Fluid with "Synthetic" on the packaging... can you recomend a brand name??

SECOND...

I have yet to see Lucas "Power Steering Additive" Ive seen a "Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak"
And I am not sure if the is the product you are recomending.... I generally steer away from anything
that claims to stop leaks.. Especially when it doesnt leak now

THIRD....

AT Fluid..

The Rave manual recomends Dexron IID
I have seen many diffrent Dexron but none specifically IID
Dexron IV and some others..
Mobil I had a full Synthetic.. Would that be good???

The Lucas Transmission additive has been Illusive as well.

1-DI's use ATF for power steering fluid, so your tranny fluid goes into your power steering.
2-If you need a oil addative then you need a new oil.
I used Valvoline ATF with stop leak when my PS system was leaking.
3-I used Dexron III in mine. 25,000 miles later no problems.

 

I must add that ATF is backwards compatible.
So Dexron IV will work in a Dexron II system.
Any full syn would be good.
