Default Mil Spec

When I first started in Land rovers it was a 1992 Range Rover. Every fluid for it had a mil spec which made it easy to get all the right fluids. I now have a 2004 D02 and there is no reference to mil spec making fluid identification nebulous. Was wondering if

synthetic antifreeze was viable, but without cross references it is hard to tell. When Mil Spec is available it makes life so much easier. Any links to mil spec?

I've never seen the stuff, but considering Mishimoto makes such quality radiators I'd say their coolant is pretty good too. That said, it's pretty expensive. It should work fine, but you can get universal green which is fine and it will last just as long.

All of that said, all the same fluids that you used in your 92 Rangie will work in your disco as long as the Rangie had the V8 engine. It's the same engine that's used in your Disco except the Disco has a longer stroke.

Fairly pricey stuff with a SOP 2 year change interval they call for but should keep the wondering dogs and cats safe.

Think the full strength

& distilled water would be a bit more economical.

What ever we use getting as much air out as possible is probably the best defense against corrosion and crude.
