You let your truck warm up that much? Is that common practice?

Hello,

Looking for some advice on O2 sensors - what brand/model is recommended? Where would you buy them from? How's the pricing? How many do I need? Any other advice on this?

Thanks!!!!!

Do you have a service engine light on, if so have you checked the fault codes, if so what are they?
02's can make a little difference but do you have a code for them, if not, they are not causing that much of a mileage drop.

My mechanic suggested that we don't know when they were last changed (if ever) and that we don't have a code yet, but that doesn't mean they're working 100%...?

If you have 265/75-16 tires, then your actual distance will be approximately 10% more than indicted on the odometer. Your speed will also be off by about that much. My truck with a lift, those tires and an ARB bumper gets 15 to 16 on the higway, which drops to 14 with a roof rack and ski box on it. That's keeping the speed around 70 mph.

Regarding the lower mileage, when did it drop? Does your engine seem to have more power now than it did with the old cam? I'm wondering if the cam timing is off.

How would we check the cam timing?

The difference occurred after significant work on the engine, the lift, the tires - all at the same time...
