Well, if the timing chain gears were disturbed, perhaps they were not reset per proceedure. Overhaul manual section of RAVE. The knock sensors tell the Bosch engine computer to vary timing advance slightly per each cylinder, so you can have eight different timings all at the same instant. The crank position sensor when failing stops timing, the nose of it can be bent or ferros contaminated (covered with metal fuzz). But you don't have the old style bent tab reluctor disc, you have drilled one.
