Default mileage blinks

yet another on going issue... after 4 great years my 03 Disco is showing me some attention. My mileage blinks all the time, the inside and outside temp reads in celsius and the remote only opens the drivers door as well as the back door. The mileage used to read in Kl till I removed the battery cables now it reads in miles but the rest are driving me insane. Anyone else having these issues?

Aaron

If miles always blinked, cluster was changed before you bought it? Owners manual will tell you how to change the C/F readings on HVAC. It is not the hand that holds the remote, it is the other hand that has not been lubing the door operators or replacing them. Very soon all will fail and you will be locked out of the Disco.

From RAVE:

The temperature displays can be converted to
or from Fahrenheit and Centigrade, as follows:
• Press and hold the air recirculation button.
• At the same time, press and hold the on/off
button for 3 seconds.
• A ‘beep’ will sound to indicate that the
conversion has taken place

sounds like some simple problems and one you cant fix. like stated above the celsius farenheit is a common and easy fix. sounds like u might need some door actuators for the locks. as for the mileage. it blinks when the computer on the display doesnt match the ecu in the truck. meaning either the display was replaced or the ecu was replaced. the only way to solve this is to buy a brand new display from land rover and then use the T4 to sync it to the ECU's reading. very expensive.

Or, you can just turn off the check in the BCU that causes it to blink. You'll still need a fairly capable scanner, but you won't have to buy any parts.

Savannah Mileage didnt always bling, I may have done it when I unplugged something. As far as the door operators are concerned, I was not aware that they needed greased, but will download the RAVE manual and check it out. Oddly for some time neither remothe worked at all so I always just used the key then one day one remote just started working again. I assumed it was the computer.

jafir I think I will try to uncheck that, thanks for the idea. No the drivers side door and rear door do only, oddly enough up until about 3 weeks neither remote worked at all, I was using the key then all of a sudden one remote opens the two doors. Could it be something with the remote and truck not communicating properly?

Savannah nice, so true made me smile. I did change the batteries in the remote. I was not aware that I had to grease the door parts but makes complete sense. I will pull the covers off the doors and lube it all up.

Thanks again everyone!

Press the lock button 5 times consecutively to re-sync the remote with the disco. Or maybe it's the unlock button? Double check your manual.
