I found a pressure tester. Here are my results:

5:19PM Start test 1 - level 1/8in low
5:19PM a tad over 15 psi
5:43PM a tad under 15 psi
6:19PM 14 psi
6:45PM 14 psi
7:19PM 14 psi

During the initial test I discovered a leaky hose clamp where the cooling system goes through the firewall to the heater core. I replaced the clamp and am running a secondary test currently. I plan on letting it sit overnight to see what it does.

7:22PM Start test 2 - level 1/2in low
7:22PM 18 psi
7:42PM 17.5 psi
8:22PM 17 psi
9:26PM 17 psi
9:42PM 17 psi
10:01PM 17 psi
10:27PM 17psi
10:43PM 17 psi

I also pulled all the plugs out to see if any of them were wet with coolant during the pressure test. All 8 looked good. Cylinder 8's plug had a slight orange tint, but was dry.

Tomorrow night I'll do a compression test.

The pressure this morning at 7:42AM was 16psi

After taking the pressure tester off the coolant level had stayed the same from start to finish (it's still about 1/2in low from the prior test).

What results would I expect to see if it was the timing cover vs the head gasket vs the block?

so you still have a small leak somewhere, just for S&Giggles heat the motor up and try it again. See if it hold pressure as well or if the pressure goes up in .

I started the engine up and ran it for awhile while I had the pressure gauge hooked up. The pressure didn't climb really fast, so I probably don't have exhaust gas leaking into the cooling system. I let the engine heat up for about 30 minutes (coolant got to 207F/208F and stayed there) and it rose to 7psi. I am running the pressure test now on the warm engine and will post the results shortly.

Well, I completed the hot block coolant system pressure test this morning. However, the test is invalid because I didn't have a good seal between the adapter cap and the gauge. I'll have to do it again tonight. below are the results anyhow:

4/1/2014 9:23PM 18psi - Coolant temperature=189 F
9:30PM 15psi
9:35PM 13.5psi - Coolant temperature=165F
9:40PM 12.5psi
9:45PM 12psi
10:28PM 9psi
11:00PM 8psi
4/2/2014 7:45AM 5psi

Sorry to hear I didn't really go through the comments but I just recently had milkshake oil
I had the head gaskets replaced only 11 k before that so I figured and hoped plot wasn't a bad gasket
Turned out to be the front cover gasket ( timing chain gasket)
While I was at it I replaced the timing chain sprockets and water pump
Worked out for me I could see where the front cover blew once I had the cover of
Good luck to you sir

Also the way I was sure it was the front cover I pulled the oil pan and pressurized the cooling system it was clear the the Coolant was dripping from around the front cover area
Once again good luck

That's a good idea. Pulling the pan with the pressure tester.
