Minimum Rotor thickness
I plan on rotating my tyres (don't you just love British spelling) today and was thinking I would put a micrometer to the rotors and check my pad wear. Does anyone know the minimum thickness for a 2003?
The thickness is stamped on the edge of the rotor. Do your brakes shake when doing a hard stop, I don't mean the ABS, just trying to see if they are warped yet.
Atlantic British has a sale on their brake sets, might check them out.
Make sure to do a full 3 pint, DOT 4, brake bleed, use lots of sound deadening spray and torque your wheels to 105#'s.

5# one way or the other is not a question.
My manual shows 105, if your show 100, that is fine, just make sure they use the correct socket and a accurate torque wrench.

I just flushed my brake fluid, and wondered what that film was between the wheel and the hub.. Sound Deadening Spray eh?? Where do I find this stuff, Ive never seen this before.
speaking of tourqe settings;i had new tires put on in the summer.about a month later i wanted to take off a front wheel for a brake pad inspection.i actually bent the factory lug wrench trying to takethe front wheeloff.finally got it off with long pipe and sore back.a lesson learned about tire shops.alwaysinsist that you want the lugs tourqued to specifications.they always hammer them on with 400ft/lbs.would not have wanted to change this tire on the highway somewhere.

The wheel nut torque is 103 lbs ft or 140 NM in my book / manual. What's this 1 1/16 socket business? [8D], it "should" be 27 mm
