Hi Jared, long time. A comp test should reveal any issues with #6. Have you checked for sparks on the #6 plug? also is the fuel injector working OK?

And I'm thinking the fluid on the #6 plug I thought was oil, is more than likely just fuel that wasn't getting burned from lack of spark.
Hopefully you're on a winner Jared. I'm not sure how many feeds to each coil pack but yes it's possible to have one duff feed on a pack. If you have access to a spare good coil pack swap it and hopefully problem solved. Clean #6 spark plug well and allow to dry out before re-using it.

I haven't even looked up the price yet so my feelings on that might change once I find out how much LR wants for them. I'm off to find a deal
Bummer, it is possible to test coil packs but DANGEROUS as you could end up with very white straight hair at best or even a heat attack at worst. They can give you one hell of a 'bang'

Are the coil packs 1x8 or 2x4 feeds?

All makes are usually reasonable quality (Britparts are crap) but the Bosch should be very good and reliable. I think due to the enormous difference in prices I'd try the All Makes first as they can't be that bad. I looked up coil packs in the UK Ebay and they vary greatly in price from £50 to £150 a pair and some are for one only. It's a difficuly one as the Bosch are twice the price but Bosch is expensive anytime. If it were my money I'd settle for the All Makes with the warranty.

Buy just one if you can and fit to the duff side, #6 cylinder and if you go for a pair keep one in stock for later but I hope you won't need it anytime soon.

It might be worth it for me to just cruise on up to you and pick it up in person. I think I can make the round trip in 10hrs. Maybe Ralph or someone in Austin has one I can buy off them. Has Ralph been on here lately?
remember the loosing coolant, turned out to be the intake manifold has hand tight.... so i tore it apart/ had to get heads machined and bought arp studs and the weather went south and work kept me busy so the rover is sitting with heads ready to go.

i just need time to do it and it looks like ill have it soon. though who knows haha

i haven't seen him around, so i dont know. Let me know what you want to do.
