it has about 120k miles the scanner i have is the cheapest one around 50 bucks. Pretty much just gives you the codes and lets you clear them. IM thinking about taking the disco to the dealer if I cant make any progress by sunday night. Im confident they could figure it out, but it will cost me big time.

You are getting mis fire codes which means that you have a spark issue and the plug wires are the cheapest and easiest thing to rule out.
You may have just gotten a bad set of wires.
I went though 4 sets of Duralast wires in a year before I bought the Magnecor wires.

Even in full loop it should run just fine, that is what it does when cold, it runs full rich and then leans out as the engine warms up.

So from the sounds of it it runs just fine when it is running rich and then once it leans out it runs rough.

It could be water in your ECU shorting it out, but I think it would do that when cold too.
It could be a cracked solder joint or two on the ECU circuit board, easy to DIY, but again I think it would act up when cold then too.

Thats just my $.02.

thanks for the suggestion. I will take a look at the computer for any poor connections as well as remove the plenum and take a close look at the injectors. Mike is right that it should be taken care of, hopefully nothing more than a corroded connector.

Well the issue has been resolved, and it was so simple I feel like a complete moron.

Upon DiscoMike's urging I went straight to the #3 injector, wiggled the wire gently and the plug came right off the injector. The plug must have worked itself off as it was not clipped on.

After securing the injector plug I started it up and went for a ride. I immediately noticed improvement. However the moment of truth would come once it fully warmed up.

After about 1 hour of driving I figured it was safe to assume the issue resolved.

Thanks Mike, I should have listened to you earlier.
