Default Misfiring P1314

My disco has been misfiring on the left bank (driver side) and running rough a few times. A few months a go my mechanic had left the oxygen sensors unplugged and with help of this forum I got them back on so now there was some misfiring a few week a go and today I replaced all the spark plugs (bosch platinum +4s.....I have magnecor wires) and after driving it I got this code P1314 Misfire Likely To Damage Catalyst, Bank B. Is bank B the left bank? What should I do to fix the misfiring?......don't know if this help but whenever I drive and stop accelerating the truck vibrates. This maybe something else but I figure I throw it here too [8D]

Thanx

Check all of your plug wires to make surte that they are seated good.
Also make sure that you didnt switch two plug wires and hook them to the wrong cylinder.
There is a plug wire wiring diagram floating around here somewhere, I think D2Guy has it, or maybe it is Switzer.

A 1314 is a need to replace the passenger side cat, which is damaged beyond use, sorry, I know this isn't what you wanted to hear.

Spike 555,
I did the plugs one by one but not telling if they were in the right place to begin with. I will try to find a diagram.

Mike,
By cat you mean the catalytic converter? I replaced the whole exhaust system including the cat about a year ago. Should the misfiring and the O sensors being unplugged cause that to go bad? When I bought that I forgot to send the warranty thing I might be in big trouble if I have to replaced that

Thanx

You would have a terrible running engine if you crossed a wire, plus you don't have any misfire codes.
Start with a new cat and go from there.

He said the whole truck vibrates at idle.
I am leaning towards crossed plug wires.
Rovers spark on both compression and exhaust strokes, so crossed plug wires it will run rough but not as rough as you think it would.
To answer your question Joey, you have two cats, yes a bad running truck will casue the cats to go bad, but not that quick.
AutoZone has plug wire diagrams. They can print one off for you.
Without readings from the O2's the ECU will go into "default" mode, meaning it will dump in apre-determanied amountof fuel into the cylinder's based on the throttle position sensor, that may be to much or to little fuel for the current need, but it is a best guesstimate programmed into the ECU so that it still runs.
Too much fuel will burn up your cats.
So if you do need new cats you can send your mechanic the bill.
