Default Missing Bolt, help!

After tearing down the front of the engine, I noticed that is a bolt missing. The bolt is the one that holds the coolant pipe onto the bracket below the alternator. Anyone have any idea what size and length bolt that is?

8mm 1.5. about 15mm long. Same as the power steering pump/water pump pulley bolts. pull one of those out to take to lowes with you.

Perfect, thanks much. I have no idea how that could have fallen out or gone missing. Crazy.

Bolt either bounced or rolled away on the floor.

Or it usually ends up in the plastic tray below the fan.

Is it possibly broken off in there? It seems like I might be looking at it inside the hole. But I could be wrong from the photo being a little far away.

That's a good point, it could be snapped off in there. I didn't look that close. I'll check it out.

I looked closer. The bolt is not snapped off. It looks like a prior mechanic just left the bolt out because the bracket doesn't quite line up to the bolt hole making it impossible to get a bolt in there.
