Default Missing end muffler on tail pipe

I am looking at a 2004 Disco. The car is in excellent condition. But I noticed that the end tail pipe muffler is missing. Is this an issue? Please see photo attached.

The end section is technically called a resonator, not a muffler, so the exhaust note will be a bit different, but no harm to the engine.

I removed mine a few years ago. Slightly louder but not very.

Mine is cut off and it hasn't had any affect on passing visuals/smog in California.

exactly. It’s purely to tame the sound. It takes a tuned ear to even know it’s not there if the stock muffler is still installed.

Mine was removed by a rock on a trail. Never missed it but added an extension to route exhaust out the back.
