Default Mixing Oat with Hoat

Okay guys. My car had
“pink european prestone” in it
i changed the tstat so obviously lost fluid and filled up the reservoir with
”blue European pretsone” which is what was recommended as the right fit for the truck

So I learned today the old pink was OAT and the new blue is HOAT.

there is all kinda of writings and opinions on it. I had two mechanics tell me its ok. But the internet say no. Etc.

Does anyone have first-hand experience or would like to chime in?

I was at my LR independent repair shop yesterday. They used the pink coolant when they installed the Turner engine a couple of years ago. I had a slight coolant leak recently. I topped it up with the Lordco (local auto parts chain) generic green as I could no find the pink stuff in my town. The Lordco version says suitable for all aluminum engine. However, the owner of the repair shop (also long time LR factory trained) says not advisable as the coolants comes with different alkinity. He says best to not mix.

Best to get rid of all pink/orange/purple whatever and just run old green stuff.
