Have you guys seen these Mobil 1 commercials with the Discos? Pretty cool. I found this video that is about the expedition, good scenery and definitely a good cause.

Hey there. Those Disco Mobil 1 commercials are from my tv series ODYSSEY, We filmed the entire expedition and had intense adventures in them. They are 2003 Discos. I produced the series "ODYSSEY: Driving Around the World" coming this fall on OLN canada and worldwide on National Geographic Adventure Channel for the 13 episode series of their adventure.... Originally a 9 month expedition, it turned out to be over a year and a half... in the same cars.. we went around the world for 41,000 miles. check out the press release below and be sure to check out the homepage next month.

Currently the 13 episode series is planned to air worldwide on Nat Geo Adventure Channel (or A1/ Adventure One) Also on OLN Canada, LifeTV (SKY 137 I believe) and the Extreme Channel in the UK, and Drive TV Russia.

It would be cool if you could share some more information about the disco's performance while pushing them the way you did. I doubt many of us have driven our Disco's to the limit you have under the differing elements that you incurred. Do you have any good stories you can share relevant to this?

2003's get a lot of bashing here because of nocentral differential lockand a perceived high occurrence of oil pump failure. It's nice to see those 2003's doing more extreme driving than most of us would dream of doing with ours.
