Did some more digging and at least one member fixed this by replacing the entire fuse box. Plan to check if my local yard has one and will report back if any progress is made.

Mine has started exact same thing. Only happens in temps in morning under 40 F. The colder the worse it gets. No codes for anything including XYZ code.(no M&S flashing - Not XYZ) It flashes Park lights initially and clicks under either fuse box or close to brake switch. You can not engage to R, N or D until it warms a bit ...30sec or so. Once in D it still flashes and clicks when cold. When it warms up all is fine. I thought it may be a brake light switch. Just installed new brake light switch (NOTE: U must pull up the brake pedal to engage the switch otherwise the brakes will stay engaged when you install a new one). Brake lights work. Park light/D Light still flashes and you hear clicks... again when vehicle is warm and has been used all flashing and clicking goes away. Gremlins I guess...but something is causing the lights to flash and keeping the transmission from engaging until the motor has run a few minutes...
