Mounting stock brush bar with non brush bar bumper?
I picked up a brush bar with all the mounts and hardware for about $50 bucks today at a junkyard. I noticed the bumper on that vehicle had slots cut into the bumper for the brush bar to slide through. It was a fancier D2 with rear AC and the nice sound system and trim and what not.
Anyway, anyone ever mount one to a D2 that didn't come with one? Im assuming everything is the same besides the bumper. I'm thinking if I end up keeping it and putting it on mine I will at least have to cut out some slots and try not to destroy the bumper in the process.

same here. Just a matter of lining up where the mounts go and carefully cutting. Better to make the holes too small and slowly make them bigger than to start off too big.
I also found this thread and the included PDF helped a lot: https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...uctions-56335/

I have an OEM brush bar and just yesterday replaced the front bumper from a truck that did not have a brush bar. Other than the hole cutouts, which are pretty easy (measurements are in that pdf that was linked to earlier) it’s pretty easy, but you do have to remove the bumper to put the mounting brackets on.
Im putting the brush bar back on soon, hopefully it will go smoothly.
