Spike, is calibrating the compass in the manual?

Princess, I found out the hard way that some people use water as wiper fluid. Just last week, after parking in a heated garage for a week, I was able to melt the block of ice in my other vehicle. No cracks!

Thanks everyone for your help. I'm sure I'll be back for more assistance.

Yes it is in the manual, you will need to set your region and then calibrate it.
Its not hard.
It will take like 5 min.

The heated seats! Oh the pleasure. You want those babies to work--because--oh the joy on a cold day. These guys here all like to be hard core off-roaders and lust after the spartan lay out of the Defender--but oh the pleasure of the heated leather. This is a great forum--ask about the front drive shaft too. Was it ever rebuilt with greaseable u-joints. There are plenty of links here on how to do that.

You will want to use de-icer windshield solvent, it is usually green, purple or red in color and you can buy it anywhere.
Target, Wal-Mart, auto parts store...use the cheap blue stuff in the summer and the good stuff in the winter.
The blue stuff will freeze on your windshield when driving.
And yes you can mix the 2.
