Multi plug fix

Multi plug fix
UG showed a code for the passenger side knock sensor so I went to have a look and found both wires off at the plug.
Wanted to check on ideas on fixing. Can it even be repaired since no wire is even sticking out to splice? How are those wired in the first place? If a new plug is sourced is it something DIY? I have an automotive electric shop close and will check but looking to see what the community thinks.

Its a common issue with automotive and aircraft connectors. The little metal pins are crimped onto the wire, and the pin has a securing device on it. The pin is then pushed into the plastic plug and it locks in place. There are extractor tools available, the pins are most likely still in the plug. But if you have an electrical shop nearby then they should be able to fix this very quickly with a new set of pins. The plastic connector should be salvageable.
