Question My Bad???

I got new tires today btw. Anyway, this morning i woke up, popped my hood, checked the coolant. When i looked in the tank, the level was low. So i grabbed some coolant, filled it to the notch, and went to school. Later that day I went to the tire shop because my new tires were done, the mechanic said: "You have got a major leak". And im like: "Yea i leak everywhere". Hes like: "No, you have got a major one". Me: "Is it coolant or oil". Him: "Definitely oil". So i was a bit surprised, i never found any major leak especially with oil. So i parked my car at home. A couple hours later guess what i found, a huge puddle of liquid on the right side of the ground under the car. I was freaked out. Only it wasn't oil, it was coolant. And im thinking to myself, "this isnt good...at all...", but then i remembered this morning and how cold it was. Was my coolant level ok to begin with? and did i overfill it, even though it didn't say it was full? Did the temperature alter the level? Did i just bleed off a lot of coolant? Or do i have a much bigger problem on my hands.

You have a sealed system and shouldn't bleed anything at all. You need to have your system pressure tested. I would look under the truck for big goopy trails coming down the block. Then go to a car wash and hose everything clean. Stay away from the coil pack at the back and the ECU on the passenger side. Just use water, you don't need any soap.

Spend some time under your truck looking for leaks. There are a lot of places to leak, so just try to find it. It should not leak anywhere.

That said, Jiffy lube says I have a major leak every time I go in. I never have a drop on the droveway, just some seepage from the heads. I wash mine every month.

What color is your coolant bottle, black or white?
Go fill the bottle to the lid and find a shop that can pressure test your coolant system to find the leak, ASAP.
