Still makes sense to me to try to see if it's working mechanically and then pursue the light issue.

Agreed, the bulbs have probably been removed. But that's not going to help at all if your system is throwing codes.

@B Strife You can confirm the CDL by dropping the front driveshaft, putting in CDL and driving
ABS/Traction Control/Hill Descent are all electronic so the Lights & Codes are critical

Good news, I think...

I engaged CDL and it is clearly working (at least to some degree) because when I turn sharply on asphalt; I get the shudder that occurs when you have a locked rear end. The front and rear tires are clearly trying rotate at a different speed causing a shudder. This seems like a positive.

Congratulations! You've now put a large amount of strain on your transfer case.
Don't engage the CDL on a gripping surface. It's just asking for trouble.

I turned left for 10 feet and right for 10 feet. If it can't handle that to check and see if it's functioning; I am not impressed.

The transfer case is very stout. As long as you are not locking it on high traction surfaces too long you’ll be fine. The most common failure is the vent tubes getting melted shut on the exhaust and over pressuring the case which starts to leak oil past the seals and running it dry. I would suggest servicing the case and making sure the oil is topped off. It did appear the TC was working in your first video just need to be a little more consistent with throttle.

Thanks for your input. When you're sliding backwards down a hill and teetering on 3 wheels, it's tough to hold a slow and steady throttle.

Getting your ABS sorted out so traction control works is very helpful
