I have a 2004 Disco and my cruise control won't work. It's not the vacum hose and my cruise control light comes on when I press the button. What should I look for to get it working?

 

check for play in the linkage mechanism and re-check the vacuum hose.

 

May be silly but check the horn to see if it works. I had my left horn go out which kept blowing the fuse under the hood for the horn which also was tied to the cruise control somehow. My light came on as well when the button was pushed but no cruise. Just a thought.
