My kit should be here soon. I confirmed the wiring, but not the elements. I have an 03 S w/ Duragrain seats.

Well, I installed my switches. The install is easy and takes about 5 minutes.

However, I can't tell in the slightest that they're working. The lights on the switches come on and the LED indicator lights when the switch is depressed. I checked the owner's manual for anything about the switches, but just a brief overview of use is given.

Am I missing a fuse or do they use the same fuse as the "Seat Electronics?"

I'm going to try it again in the morning when the seats are guaranteed to be cold.

all I found in Rave was that the elements were powered by a 15 amp relay in the pass. compartment fuse box....sorry.

just and FYI, I read on www.roverconnection.com tonight that post 2001 S or non cold weather package Discoverys may not have the elements in them. Might have to check the seats themselves. The bottom covers come off rather easily. Roverconnection has the elements for sale if you don't have them installed. They didn't sound too sure on all of this information, so I would still check before ordering..

Short of tearing into the seats, is there anything else y'all can think of?

The thing is, I live in Memphis, TN. It's cold enough here to get good use out of the seats maybe 2 months out of the year. They're definitely not a necessity.

However, when I was made to believe it was an easy $70, I figured why not?

I think I may just return them.

Hello everyone, I just got a LandRover II 2000, with 64,000 miles on it and couldn't be happier. I wish I had the leather package, but oh well. I was wondering how do I check to see if I have the heating pad element pre installed. I have the rave cd, but its a little overwhelming.

Thanks ahead of time.

I just posted this on another seat thread.

I just installed my switches. One seat works fine. The driver seat...not so fine. Takes for ever to heat up. Perfect for warm buns on mile 15 of a 17 mile commute.

Save your money. Not worth it.
