is my disco a series one or series two?
For Five Grand i Bought a white discovery. this things nice inside and out!The two owners before me took excellent care of her. ok so by looking at the inside of the drivers side door it tells me that the vehicle was manufactured10/98, it has digital climate control, and there was no owner's manual with. so having stated these facts about the ol girl im looking to finalize which series i have because the guy i bought it off of didnt have a clue! somebody's gotta know how i can know for sure which one i bought.

roverland parts says that there was two models made for 99 and that the one made with digital climate control was the series 2. would like to know before i get an owner's manual and its the wrong one.

Yes, it sounds like you have a series II. Look on the rear/tailgate door there should be an oval badge that says series II on it. Another way to tell is to measure the wheelbase (center of front hub to center of rear hub) DIIs have a 100" wheelbase.

Look at the tail lights small tail lights and lower its a Disco I
above the license plate holder and larger lightsits a Disco II.
Both have 100" wheel base the Disco II its fatter across.
Also the motor will have a 4.0 on top of the intake if its a Disco I.

nothing on the back says it a dII, it only says "discovery". it was manufactured in the u.K. if that means anything in this matter, lol. yeah i believe i've got aDII thanks everybody!

I dont have a picture of it yet as i just bought it a few weeks ago. YOU ARE RIGHT i should post one and have it up on the forums here. please allow me time to figure out how to put one up or HELP me when i upload a picture of it.
