Exclamation My ECU/ECM has got to be bad, if not I don't know what it is.

I went to work on the Rover this morning. There was a coolant line I had broken when I took the intake manifold off, and I had just taped it back together when I was done. Well, on a trip to Auto Zone, the tape gave way, and it leaked coolant every where. I went down to patch the line with rubber tubing today, and started it to check and make sure it wasn't going to leak. It started just fine.

As you guys knew, I have the three amigos, SES, Brake, SRS, and both the air suspension lights. I decided to cycle it on and off a few times to see how it was wanting to start after running for a minute. It started really hard, harder than it ever has. I took a good three seconds of cranking to get it started. I did this 5 or 6 times, and the last time, both of the air suspension lights, AND the brake light went out. My air suspension now works, and the off road button works too, it raises and lowers like a charm.

What in the name of God would be causing this? Considering most if not all of everything that is the Rover is controlled electronically (through the computer) does it make sense that the computer could be bad?

Also, someone suggested that the ECU could be holding the #8 injector open, which is why it's flooding the cylinder and causing a misfire.

Thoughts?

I went to move the Disco to turn it around in the parking space, the SES immediately began flashing, and at the very same instant both the air suspension lights AND the brake light popped back up. Won't go away, and the air suspension isn't working anymore.

Dammit.

Trying to justify spending $89.95 at the shop just for them to tell me whats wrong, and how much more money I'm going to have to spend to get this ****er on the road. Ugh.

the abs and sls are controlled by the abs ecu, the engine, by an other. not much chance theyre connected, unless the network is bad. the abs is probably just going to be a reflash of the ecu, they get confused sometimes(there may be other issues too, but if the sls started working for a while, it needs to be reflashed) take it in, stop guessing.

So, as you have found, this isn't going away on it's own. Why haven't you sent me your tele number?

Yeah, I'm gonna take it in. Just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I do.

Took it for a little cruise, and got one good picture before my camera died:

Now I am just wondering what the hell is going on. I definitely can't wait to get this problem fixed though.
