Thanks for all the helpful information, thanks to this forum and your information I was able to diagnose and fix my Disco. This is my first car in which I do the repairs by my self and this forum its a grate resource!!!

Disco Mike: it does have greaseable u-joints and I did preform the major service recommended

Rob:the previous owner did a head gasket repair 3 years ago.
Should i be thinking on replacing gaskets the near future??

If the previous owner did the gaskets 3 years ago then you should be fine for quite a while. Even if it starts leaking as long as it is external you can be fine for a while as long as you pay attention to the fluid level.

The thing about Disco's and Land Rovers in general is that they have some quirks and issues but for most of us they are small things compared to driving such a great vehicle. And the goo dnews is that there is not much that will happen to it that has not already been covered on this forum, and the memebrs are always willing to help you out with whatever isue you run into in the future.
