Default My New Discovery!

Took it off-roading today and it went through things I couldn't believe, up and down some serious ditches and trails.

Heres the pictures everyone wants.. Sure its just a stock rover.. But its mine. It works great even stock!!

Future up grades

Arb Bumper
2" OME Lift
Roof Rack
Not decided on tires, these will last me a while.

I hate HATE HATE, the stock plastic bumper parts, when there faded so I removed them [I have been known to remove bumpers and leave it.] I will probably leave it this way untill I get an arb, but I MIGHT cut the sides and put them back on after some paint.

Paints in pretty good shape, but what should I do about the few bumps under the paint [rust I believe]. There are a few by the drivers windows.

Very Nice Looking. No factory guards? My front brush guard rusted away, but the little ones on my rear lights are still there.

The first picture is on my first trail ride in my Disco I, the next picture is with all the factory air dam and brush guards off of the front end.

Congrats! Looks great... almost like she's begging you, "Let's do it again!"

I have a white 04, but one thing this thread has taught me (after viewing both your and Danny Lee's pics) is that WHITE is definitely my fav Disco color. It's elegant when clean and proud when dirty.

I'm in North Jersey and after I finish this propshaft rebuild (day 2 today, but it back together) I'm going to find some dirt.

About those light guards - I don't have them on the front, but those rear lights - especially those lower ones - could use some "protection."

congrats. Spencer skip the ARB and get a bumper from a more off-road centric company that doesnt make bumpers that bend.

Nice rig. I just picked up a white '95 and I do like this color.

I had factory brush guards and I have the front one out for powder coating. As mentioned, my headlight guards were rusted to nothing.

The bumper ends can be rejuvenated with "bumper black". I have some ordered - I'll report on how it works. I will be putting the heads back on before I do the bumper ends though...

Like what?

I really dont plan on hitting anything, and also am at the point where cheaper = better which is usually arb or self built.

I had the option of getting a yellow xd, and im glad I didn't. First I couldn't stand non leather seats and second I just figured out all my friends would say I drove the short bus.. Landrover 7 seats = bus, yellow =bus. They don't understand my love for these as it is.

I kind of wish I would have gotten the 99-04 model, but I think Ill be totally satisfied with a new front bumper and roof rack.
